Fallenbrides

Cold synthpop from the Cheapsmusic vault.

Fallenbrides is the intimate face of the Cheapsmusic label: slow electronic songs shaped by memory, absence, and persistence — music for late nights, empty rooms, and listeners who feel more than they scroll.

 Fallenbrides

This is not a band.
It’s a trace.

Fallenbrides explores what remains after love, after promises, after the fall.
Cold yet sensitive music, drifting between synthpop, post-punk, and slow electronic ballads.
Songs like empty hotel rooms at dawn.
Voices that whisper more than they sing.
Simple, almost naked melodies, carried by tired machines.

Behind Fallenbrides stands Jean Sebastien Plaut, co-founder of Cheapsmusic, carrying here a deeply personal project.
Classically trained (clarinet, Conservatoire de Chambéry), his background is rigorous, almost academic — a foundation he deliberately chose to fracture.

Inspired by the electronic architectures of Giorgio Moroder and the organic pulse of Cerrone, he gradually drifted toward machines.
His first steps into electronic music were made with Le Décadent, followed by SLK — experimental grounds where a stripped-down aesthetic and a taste for synthetic melancholy took shape.

No performance here.
No posture.
Only the troubled beauty of broken things that keep emitting light.

Fallenbrides speaks of absence, loyalty, memory — of what remains when everything has collapsed.
Romantic without nostalgia.
Dark without spectacle.
Intimate, always.

Music for those who know that love is not a fairy tale,
but a persistence.
